What's usually included
- The water heater you chose (Giant, Bradford White, etc.)
- Removal of the old tank
- Connection of the new tank
- New safety relief valve
- Startup and leak check
The electrical panel must already be compliant (wire and breaker sized for the capacity). If an electrical upgrade is needed, a master electrician handles it — we tell you beforehand, not on the doorstep.
Options depending on your home
- Expansion tank: if the code requires it at your place, or if you want one added
- Other out-of-package parts or work: confirmed in advance on the quote

Quebec plumbing code requires thermal-expansion protection when the system is “closed.” In practice, that usually means one of these is present:
- A check valve (backflow check)
- A backflow preventer
- A pressure-reducing valve on the supply
Other situations that can add work
- Moving the unit or heavily reworking the piping
- Hard access (tight basement, several floors without clearance)
- Gas-to-electric conversion (electrician + securing the gas line)
